Fabio is an Earth and Space Sciences graduate from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He is involved in leadership programs on sustainable finance with the Climate Finance Group of Latin America and the Caribbean (GFLAC) and ocean governance as a High Seas Youth Ambassador for the High Seas Alliance.
He has experience working with carbon markets at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), with climate governance at the subnational level with Centro Brasil no Clima for the C40, and with socio-economic evaluation of investment projects for the Program for the Promotion of Public-Private Partnerships in Mexican States (PIAPPEM). More recently, he has been working with the Interamerican Association for Environmental Defense (AIDA) on its Clean Air Program, while simultaneously collaborating with WWF Ecuador as Innovation Catalyst.
Fabio hopes to increase further political action and financial flows to protect the ocean.
